Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Commerce Observability app ("the service"). By installing the app or connecting an account, you accept these terms.
1. The service
Commerce Observability is a read-only monitoring tool. It compares your Shopify product catalog with your Google Merchant Center account and reports differences — such as price mismatches, availability mismatches, missing or stale ("ghost") products, and Merchant Center approval issues. The service reports findings; it does not change anything in Shopify or Google Merchant Center on your behalf.
2. Your accounts and eligibility
You may use the service only if you operate the Shopify store you connect and are authorized to grant access to the Google Merchant Center account you connect. You are responsible for activity carried out through your accounts and for keeping your Shopify and Google credentials secure.
3. Read-only nature and your responsibility
Findings are informational. Deciding whether and how to act on them — for example correcting a price in Shopify or resolving a disapproval in Merchant Center — is your responsibility, and any such changes are made by you, in your own Shopify or Google accounts. The service performs no automatic remediation.
4. Availability and accuracy
The service depends on the availability, correctness, and timeliness of the Shopify and Google Merchant Center interfaces it reads. Merchant Center can take time to reflect recent changes, and platforms occasionally report incomplete or delayed data. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, and findings may occasionally be incomplete or outdated. Commerce Observability is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify or Google.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms, the Shopify Acceptable Use Policy, and Google's terms — including not attempting to access data you are not authorized to access, disrupt the service, or use it to infringe anyone's rights.
6. Termination and disconnection
You may stop using the service at any time by disconnecting Google in the app's settings and uninstalling the app from your Shopify store, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if Shopify or Google requires it. Sections 4, 7, and 8 survive termination.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service — including any action you take or omit based on findings it reports. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date; if you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply to you.
9. Privacy and contact
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy. Questions about these terms: messikazi2121@gmail.com.
